With over a million letters and parcels being sent each year in the UK alone, it is no wonder that the use of dispatch labels is very high. As they are used for a variety of correspondence, there is a range of types of dispatch labels available to buy.
As online shopping continues to grow in popularity, it means that more and more companies are having to send their goods out by postage as opposed to people buying in store and taking them home themselves. Items like CDs, book, DVDs and games are very commonly bought on the Internet, and all of these require dispatch labels to get them to the people who bought them. Bigger items, such as televisions, also get sent out by couriers, and these also need address labels to reach their final destination.
Users of websites such as eBay and Amazon will also need to use some type of dispatch label if they are posting items to other users, either in the UK or abroad. Even though this may be on a much smaller scale than professional retailers, the need still exists. Retailers of the labels themselves will know this, and offer styles and shapes to suit a variety of needs, as well as offering both bulk buys and single purchases (there may be discounts on buying in bulk, although not every seller will do this).
As integrated label suppliers will want to cater for all needs, they will be able to offer bespoke dispatch labels as well as standard types. Bespoke labels can have company logos, different colours and/or other promotional ideas (such as sales information) printed onto them; it is best to ring the company who you are using to supply the labels to see what options they can offer.
Other aspects to bear in mind when choosing an integrated label supplier include: Being aware of what programs are compatible when printing onto dispatch labels. Common ones include Paypal, Google Checkout, eBay and Amazon, but it is important to make sure the program you want to use will print onto the labels correctly. Also, it’s important to make sure they can be run through your type of printer. Ensuring that each order of labels will be the same; you will not want to use a supplier that sends one batch on one type of paper, and another batch on a different specification without prior consent. Whether or not the supplier will want to print there own promotional logo onto the label before sending it to you; some companies do this for marketing and, whilst it’s a personal preference whether or not you will want this, it is worth bearing in mind.
Whatever type of integrated label you need, make sure to shop around and find the best quality dispatch labels for your money. Additionally, if the environment is a concern of yours, some suppliers only sell products that are environmentally friendly, so this should also be taken into account when deciding upon a supplier.
